Pat,

Dave did well, but an STI has very sticky tires, and a lot more low end. I was happy to only be two seconds behind him. I did want to ride with Dan to check out different lines. There weren't any instructors for heat 1, Dave asked. We were talking while we were roasting in the sun, and we both are avoiding the cones too much. Watching Tim come through the slaloms you could see how smooth he was. I didn't see Dave run, but we both agreed we need to learn "smoothness". I would have liked to have stayed to see Sean, Joey, and all the others run. My wife says my face is redder than a tomato. Sunscreen next time.
