Stock STi wheels and tires
This is a hypothetical question as I don't have one yet, but as much as I like the forged BBS wheel on the STi, the need to express some originality will likely lead to the wheels being sold. Being that the stock wheels and tires are currently exclusive on the STi and no prices are known, what would be a fair price to ask for them? My original plan was to just swap out the tires, but the temptation for aftermarket wheels (originality) is quite high. What do you guys think?

Quality wise, you won't see much better wheels in the aftermarket. Forged Rays is Forged Rays is Forged Rays. They're all the same besides style. If you're planning to do some Auto-X/Track Days/Drag strip, I would keep them for those purposes and buy an stylish aftermarket one for daily driving. I don't really know the fair prices for them but check the User For-sale area.

I dunno dude...BBS rims can get kinda pricey....and with those BADA$$ tires on I'm guessing around 1600~2000K easy....maybe even more.... ...of course that is retail.....but who knows?
I persoanlly am gonna keep them.... to me those rims belong to the car,(its like an icon) switching would be like a divorce.....or better yet...giving a chic with big ***** a breast implant....it just doesn't make sense.....buy hey whatever floats your titanic!

Volk TE37s has really caught my eye. Since am now married, wife has a lot to say in vehicle. OK to get the car, but compromises have to be made (sticky, fast wearing tire must go). I used to auto-x when we were just dating, but is now out of the question as vehicle is now considered the "family hauler". Mebbe wife will let me go a couple of times to see how AWD handles vs. FWD (my current ride). Thanks for the input guys!!

Shiroikage, you could always get the Forrester XT
In the end, its much better of a family type car. You could carry much more stuff and your whole family comfortably while still retaining Subaru performance. If I was married, I would trade in my WRX and get a XT in a heartbeat. Its just plain better and more practical. Plus, family is always first.

The Forester XT does sound good, though I am completely lusting after the STi. It still has four doors so it qualifies as the family hauler (being selfish yeah!) power- arrrgh, arrgh! Anyways I do have a Trooper to do the real family hauling, but then again if there was a Forester STi right now, hmmmmm.
