From what I understand the STi doesn't have a CAT in the upipe and the WRX (04) does. This is based on the manual which has diagrams showing the locations of the CATS.

Haven't pulled the heat shield to check out the turbo yet, but I have heard it is not twin scroll.

You'll like the Blue/Gold, though it catches a lot of attention. The rims are not fun to clean either, but well worth it. I finally put some polish on them the other day so the brake dust comes off easier.

Gotta do that as well. Just any wax or whatever? Had the wheels off last night cleaning, still not easy and of course today they are coated. Hah. Oh well, woulda been nice with gunmetal since it would blend more. =)

Dave,

When the rims are clean just wax them like you would the rest of the car. It'll take a while with those rims. After that you should find that the brake dust comes off a little easier when you wash it.

I am guessing that wax doesn't hurt the wheels does it?

Personally I wouldn't use normal car wax. Maybe I'm just **** and want things done right but there are products out there made specifically for rims. Just make sure you get the right product. Don't use mag & aluminum polish becaue its abbrasive. I think mothes, meguires, eagle one, zymol, all make stuff for wheels with clear coat finishes. I havent decided which one I'll use yet. I'll admit though....cleaning the rims are a b**ch....

One nice thing about my

SSRs, they're real easy to clean. I can even clean the inside of the wheel that you normally can't get to. Lots of clearance.

Like my Advans with stock brakes. I could put my whole hand inside the wheel was so nice. =) The BBS have so many spokes and then the divits cut into each. I just pull the wheels off, doesnt take too long and lets me get to the brembos as well...

Volks are easy to clean too and you can fit Stoptech under them.

Rexstang,

I meant my wheels (16") not being able to house Stoptechs. I knew yours were 17". Didn't know you were the lucky recipient of the Stoptechs until your post though. Nice.
