It's 8 to 3 in favor of the STi. Most of you that voted for the STi did so because of the added displacement (2.5l vs 2.0), or the 6-speed transmission?
Those of you that voted for the Evo probably did so because of the fact that the 4G63 is arguably one of the most potent 4-cylinder engines ever offered for sale to the public and the fact that there are many examples of DSM's that are just blindingly fast, right?
Hmmm... This stuff just intrigues the crap out of me.

I noticed Shiv is releasing a Stage 0 for the Evo. Basically it's a turbo back exhaust and a XEDE. He has some graphs up and estimates the Evo at around 310 hp (flywheel) which is around a 15% increase. Not bad, but then consider that's only 10 hp more then a stock STi (assuming Subaru's 300 hp claims are correct).

I received a reply back from Brett (I guess Shiv is busy these days) saying they would support the STi with Stage kits. It'll be a while though since there are no STi's for them to play with.

You really thinking of modding the STi? It's a pretty potent performer from the factory!
It would be hard not to throw an MBC on it for me though...

I would think a more efficient turbo back and some type of engine management (with boost control) would pull a lot out of this car.
Then there are the free power mods like underpulley, etc..
I'm glad that the uppipe comes catless!
Hmm, I'm almost tempted to try and bolt up my Vishnu turbo back just to see if it works...
