STI on KHON news

there was a black STI on KHON news today about their story when talking about teen drivers... the STI it did a "fly-by" and it had like a whining noise. I doubt it was supercharged but I don't know... anyone know why it made a whining noise on the fly-by?

drivetrain is probably stressed due to clutch dumping, burn outs and probably transmission whinning..

not to beat a dead horse but... who the **** buys their kid an STi?
"oooo, i payed for half b/c i work baggin' groceries" bull frogs, not a danm STi, bad parents! pay for half of a WRX TR, or anything but man...

if your in high school and you have one, that's great for you, but i'd like to punch your parents in the face. no offence.

I don't care how 'mature for your age', 'lucky you are', or 'responsible' you are for your age, nope, don't care, not going to save your parents.
I want to punch them.
hard.
in the face.
right around the nose and mouth.

and no I don't want to hear your blow off valve, I want to throw it in your parents face, wrapped up in their insurance bill.

HAHAHAA, I'm joking, slightly.

anyone with an STI that they don't pay for it themselves and has their parents pay some or all of it for them are hopeless.

If you cannot afford the car on your own then that tells you that you shouldn't be getting it. it's different if you are married and your wife helps you.

ok, if you want me to be serious I understand parents wanting to buy their kids a car, whatever but:

1. a sports car like the STi no mater HOW 'safe' it might be.
2. a $28,000 car.
3. to insure the above.

"If you cannot afford the car on your own then that tells you that you shouldn't be getting it."

+1

I'm joking about punchin' parents, because I'm not that violent, hahaha!

Yea, well, i don't think there are too many rich white kids whose rich white paents are going to buy them a used $28,000 car, for a used price. Belive me, I understand used cars being more afordable, untill we got Erica's 06 2.5i we've always had used cars. Price is not the only issue.

All that aside, I think it's ****ed up to buy your kid that car. kids are dumb, even the best of them are dumb at some point. Thats how you have people doing stuff like what happened on H-2.
