Stereo Installs / Selection on the island...
Hey guys - it's about time i switch up the sounds and I've been on the hunt for a new head unit... except there's very little choice it seems...
i'm settled between the Kenwood DNX6690 and the Alpine w900bt... but finding competitive pricing around the island is a bit tough... also, i'm pretty weary of who does the install (would prefer to do it myself - all depends on the total price)
...so... any suggestions? where to look, who's a trustworthy installer and so on...
otherwise, it's off to amazon or flEabay...
Thanks guys!

Momotech ( Brian ) does really good custom work if you are looking for that sort of thing, fiberglass, tuned boxes, whatever.
But DsBaruuu is da man wit da plan for parts and installs!

Obviously, Big D is the truth so you should have him help you.
However, I would rather get the Kenwood as it has a way better navigation software (Garmin provides it for Kenwood...I think on that model too).

Thanks for all the replies everyone - and Dave, got your pm, pm'd you back (gotta send you my # actually)
I'm with you bpang on the better nav, but i suppose since alpine's software is updateable, and hawaii's only 120mi in cicumference, i'm probably still in the clear lol
i'd be curious to know if the alpine supports the a2dp for android as well, i got rid of my iphone, now on an evo and i was pleasantly surprised that the stock subaru hu does a2dp from the deck/steering wheel controls, even for pandora!

I haven't really played around with my phone much but I guess it stands to reason that it could work.
