I can't even begin to tell you how embarassed I am to say it - but this new '04 look is growing on me. Without the ridiculous wing the car actually looks pretty civil.
ARGH. I think I drank too much Hatorade earlier, I'm actually starting to like the new STi!

Scuba Steve's car from www.clubwrx.net, BTW. It looks all sinister hunkered down on the STi pink springs, like the WRC car in "tarmac mode".

I've gotten used to the wing and it balances out the monsterous hoodscoop. I will admit though this is a good look!

Might as well swap trunks.

Swapping trunks would make the most sense. You would also lose your 3rd brake light as that is part of the wing. There is no brake light on the rear deck of the STi. Perhaps you could also swap that with the person you are swapping the trunk with?

are you talking about the holes for mounting the wing? If so, I think the 4 holes needed for the WRX wing, I think is there, but then there's also like 12 more holes in the trunk
I could be wrong though

from someone that took it off already on the other forums.
The STi spoiler leaves 17 holes on your trunk. 12 for the bolts holding the spoiler in, 4 from unused holes (presumably fit the WRX spoiler), and 1 for the break light wire. AFAIk, the standard WRX spoiler requires 4 bolts and the break line... which leaves 12 holes for you to fill. Bit of a mess really. Your options are:
a) do a trunk swap with someone who has the wing you want
b) buy a new trunk (~$250) and get it painted (~$150)
c) get an aftermarket CF or fiberglass trunk lid
d) plug them up with rubber plugs like STi<1
