idk about blowing up, but it burned pretty good. saw that episode too, kinda scary. i just never though we'd have that problem here in hawaii... and then i started to get zapped with my wrx. never had that problem before...

ah when was this? I had a red 93T about a year ago. wish i kept that car longer though, but couldn't at the time. you know the guys in imoc?

oh, and i've just been holding a part of the frame when getting out of my car now, haven't gotten shocked... yet. yeah, just gotta worry most when filling gas.

I only got shocked once or twice in Hawaii, but in the fall in Georgia it was BAD. I can't imagine what it will be like up here in Minnesota. IT seems worse in the Suby than in other cars I've owned.

Nope they did testing on this and the static thing is a myth. Watch mythbusters, they had serious statis like lightning type static and no boom. That was in an enclosed room too with major gas fumes. So I wouldnt worry. Good show by the way.

I used to get shocked really badly by my car EVERY time I got out of it. But it just stopped one day. I can't think of anything that I did - or do differently - it just stopped. Weird, huh?

yep. that'd be me. i've been to a few of the IMOC meets, so yeah, might have met you. I know i heard your name before, but not sure if i met you in person or not. talk to joel a lot, he's jealous of me and you cause we both switched to a WRX.
