Will we have a 60k service. Spark plugs, air filter, oil change, drain and fill trans and rear diff, drain and fill engine coolant, flush brake fluid, rotate tires, inspection, and change drive belts. This is at Servco Subaru it cost around 700-800 dollars big bucks. I'm not sure if your extended warranty will cover this. Hope this could help.

Yeah 60k is normal service period. All off that work you can do yourself though for close to nothing compared to 7-800

Consult your owner's manual or Subaru.com for the stuff you need to do.

Most of this is pretty easy work that can be pounded out in an afternoon.

The only pain in the butt things on there are the spark plugs because of the work it takes to get to them and the radiator fluid because you have to sit there forever for all of the old stuff to splooge out the little hole.

there is no reason you shouldnt be able to do all of that with the exception of maybe the timing belt yourself, unless you are extremely mechanically challenged. sparkplugs can be done in about 15 to 20min if you know what you are doing. the timing belt i would leave to a proffessional if you dont know what you are doing as messing that up is a real quick way to ruin an engine. at any rate i believe the manual states that 60,000 is time for an inspection of the timing belt, not necissarily a change, wich should be done around 100,000 miles.

No timing belt. Timing is a 90k service we do everything in the 60k plus the timing belt. We also may hit u up for a water pump and cam and crank seals while we are in there. Since I work there I have not seen a 90k service yet and by telling u guys this may not every. But if someone wants to do a 90k and all the things I said up top it be around 2g. With all the parts and labor. But yeah I would take it in if a timing belt needs to be done.

why would you change your fuel pump unless you are having issues with it? go to www.nasioc.com and start reading. they have toooooons of great info on general maintenance and any other sti related crap you can possibly think of. read before you post tho, there are a million stickies that have all the answers you are looking for. if you read through all that stuff *then* you can start asking questions without pissing people off and looking like a noob there. if you are serious about modding your car and still maintaining its reliability you need to start learning it inside and out. if you spend some time reading up and learning how to do this relatively simple maintenance yourself, you can use those hundreds of dollars you are about to throw away at the dealership to make your car faster and better and get some satisfaction at your personal accomplishment in the process. just my 2 cents.

Sometimes, time isn't a luxury that some people have to do things themselves.
Took me about 4 months after I bought my v7 momo steering wheel before I found some actual time to install it in my car since I work around 70 hrs a week. And that's a relatively easy install too.
Besides, we were all noobs at one point or another.
I believe everyone's had their "what if I break something?" thought in your head when they first worked on a car?

thanks guys i am a noob to subys and dont realy give a crap if everyone knows it....but am very mechanically inclined...... but also dont have the time to work on my own car also space and tools are an issue so that being said i was just wondering what the basic maint. requires.... as far as changing out my fuel pump i just figured if im gonna have someone rip into my car might as well kill as many birds with one stone as i can (aftermarket fuel pump for when i install the a/p and the possible injectors and turbo...when i get to that point) all the suggestions will be listened to and ill do my reading but if someone is going to get pissed because i asked a stupid question i realy dont want to hear what they have to say anyway!!! so thanks for all the info you have been helpful and if there is someone who can do this type of maint...for a reasonable price holler at me ...

Yeah guys on nasioc will rip u a new a-hole, but the info they give u is good. I would just try to do things that u can do on your own. But make sure u can do it. Like the timing belt u should let the dealer or a subaru specialty shop do it. If u are going to up-grade new injectors and a turbo don't take to Subaru. U are going to need a tune the ap OTS maps are not going to cut it. I think PDX is coming down in February should plan your build around then.
