install time for each?
i want to do my intake tonight if it is a fast enough job. is 30 minutes long enough for a slightly experienced intake installer?

will i need anything not in the kit like zip ties or something? thanks b

you can install the filter (without removing the silencer in the fenderwell) in 30 minutes easy with the right tools.
The kit should have come everything you need.

the bov in 10-15 minutes if you're good at it.

what's the stage 0 come with?
the unichip will take 30 minutes or so too.

thanks

yeah, i'm gonna leave the silencer in. just gonna run the intake for a week because the car is going into the shop for a scratch they made to my fender.

for the intake, i should only need sockets and a phillips? anything else to make it easier?

the stage zero is from vishnu, so the up pipe, unichip, sparkplugs, pulley, belts, bleeder valve. i got the adapter for the unichip so it should be plug and play.

the unichip install is easy
the up-pipe install sucks
the spark plug install is easy, but it sucks too(time)
the pulley install is not too bad

of course that is if you have the right tools.

for the intake, it Really helps if you have a long extension, as in 6" or more, to remove/install the bolts to the stock air box.

damn. the filter is LOUD!!!

install was very very easy. 25 minutes that included 10 minutes of frustration trying to reach the bolt nolimit was mentioning the extension for. For future reference ==> an open (or closed) end wrench is easy to use to reach this bolt. just reach in from the firewall forward direction and it is sooooo easy. no need for an extension. it was funny trying to get an extension made up of 7 different peices connected to a screwdriver handle (never has the right 1/4" adapter) trying to loosen the bolt. anyways. the intake is LOUD!!!! the stock bov is LOUD!!!! not into the Bus sound.

i also found out that Gruppe-s sent me a universal BOV w/o the flange, so i emailed them and they responded in 2 hours saying their distributer messed up and that they will send out the WRX flange to me. GREAT service and shipping prices. b

Better set the bbq at your house, you need to have a cold engine when you do an up-pipe. You'll also probably get a better response after this holiday season. But hey it'll be free and you can't beat free.

cool. but i am at an apartment.

i am not sure i want to keep the intake. i already took it off. too noisy for me. i think it is noisy inside the car, but i like quiet rides. still waiting for the wrx flange from gruppe-s, but it hasn't come in yet.

after subaru fixes the scratch, the stage zero can go on. if you guys need something to do at a meet, we can do that if someone know a place. my car still has 1400 miles, so the bolts shouldn't be frozen yet. b

wickedrx. sorry, but i cannot stand loud cars. i need my S to be quiet so i don't set off all the alarms. b
