Stoptechs here...
I decided on Stoptechs...they have a plastic sleeve on the outside of the ss line that helps protect it and the brackets built on to install on the struts like the oem lines...
I bought mine along with Motul RBF-600 Synthetic Fluid and Hawk HPS pads from www.worldoneperformance.com...for my 04 STI
Garret gave me a pretty good deal...

So i should get the m/c brace instead of the ss lines? It's gonna be one or the other right now. Thanks San

Well,
I think both are in order, but I'd do the brace first. Why? The brace is cheaper. By the time you buy lines for all four corners and add fluid costs, the brace wins. The brace is easier. By the time you replace all hoses, and bleed all the corners, the brace is much easier. Honestly IMHO, stainless lines don't give you that much better "feel". I have them, I know. The brace is very noticeable. The firewall flex is substantial.

If
you think that lines or the brace will shorten stopping distances, IMHO you're wrong. Things that shorten stopping distances are stickier/wider tires, more efficient/larger pads, less weight (mass), larger rotors and better fluid (only when heat is causing the brakes to fade), different master cylinder, calipers with greater clamping force, etc. But "feel" is important. The best brakes in the world won't help you if you can't control them. If you're looking to stop more quickly you should start another thread (IMHO).
