Question SR20DET Swap?

I ask this with all seriousness. Is there anyone on Island you would trust to do an SR20DET swap on a 98 240SX?

steven up on the north shore.

he drives the 510 racecar at solo II. he's a serious nissan guy.

thinking of getting a 240 now? i'd love to have one too!

parts are plentiful and it would be way cheaper than an sti.

Same questions my brother is waiting for his engine to come in (should be within this week) and he'll be needing someone to do the swap as well!

S-14 Baby! This would be the perfect, Drag / track day car!

Get the engine swap, trany and LSD. Some tein flex's. Keep only the stuff you would need to keep the car street legal, rip out the rest.

woo WOOO!

I would trust Scubaru, 3.5DOHC, and ShinRS.

Yup I have to say 240's are juicy. Although I do like the late production year S14's myself, with the exception of the 180sx.

Steven.
Steven.
Steven.

Or us. .... and like Vern said, the 'old skool' guys as well.

When I can afford it, I will be doing a swap (doesn't look like I will be selling the 240). I am going to do suspension, brakes, 5 lug swap first, then decide which motor I want to swap. I've already talked to Steven about things, and he can get pretty good prices on whatevers.

I'd love to have all of us do it. I just don't have a place to do it. Right know I'm just looking at all my options if the STi is over $33,000.

guys. i just talked with my uncle who has an auto shop that does alot of swaps/imports from Japan down at San Jose. He said it could be possible he can get you guys some engines with ecu, axles, basically the whole front clip. He usually brings in K20A2(JDM RSX Type R) engines and Silvia front clips by the whole truckloads. Whichever you guys need, I can inquire about. If you're interested, give me specifics and I can ask.

He says the issue down at that Japan is trying to keep the prices of JDM engines lower to about 1.6-1.8K each when they used to be 3k. Kinda unclear what he means though by that.

it may be he's talking about how much the cost of SR20's, etc have been rising SO much because of "popular" demand. People have been trying to sell the motors, etc for what they are really worth.

ANYway, ... how about a $$ on a S15 front clip, ... or the front clip and 'rear parts' needed to complete the swap?? please!

Actually, could you find out how much he'd want for each of these:
S13 CA18DET complete swap
S13 red top SR20 'complete swap'
S14 black top SR20 complete swap
S15 complete swap

THANKS
Sean
