spring and sway bar install question?
Im having some springs and possibly swaybars installed at a shop... They didnt say how much it was going to be other than a rate of $75.00 per hour and take approximaely 3- 4 hours to finish. I didnt plan on spending $300.00 just for installation, but is that how much i should expect to spend no matter where i go? Should i do it or find another way to install for less? Any help would be aprreciated.

A friend of mine went to speedgear. I think it cost him about 110 for the same items to be installed. It took them about 2-3 hours. Thats just an alternative if you dont get any help.

I think a install day is a great idea but i dont think i have the space to host one. I live in apt complex with underground parking with reserved stalls. Unless people wont mind parking outside on the side of the street i could host it... we got a large court yard in front with grills if anybody gets hungry we can hook up a small kine bbq or something...with drinks or whatever i dont know. let me know what you guys think?

yeah it shouldn't take 4 ****en hours (unless you have problems)... If you have the right tools... air tools and a spring compressor then you'll be done in no time... for the sway bars it might take some time since you have to make sure you have load on the wheels to install them!

Good luck.. Maybe you could host an install day as stated earlier

the only reason why they won't give you an exact amount is because they don't know what they are doing... the worst thing that could happen is that they install it but they install it wrong! why don't you just host an install day and have a few people from the board help you to install it so that you will learn something at the same time you get your **** installed!

I'm probably getting the same mods for my car around mid-late January as well. If we have an install day, I'm in! I'd host it, but all I have is crappy car-port in AMR housing on an incline, & not very many tools.

I was joking about charging you I'll help ya for free only thing I don't use air tools I use good old brute force (breaker bar & WD40) works just fine just easier with air tools. I've just never used them although they were always around because my step dad uses them..
