Speaker Mounts?

Dan you only need to put a piece of wood to the door and draw out what you want to cut. Later you can do the fine cuts to make it more precise and better fitting. Good luck.
But like you said, ideally having the mounts will make for an easier time to make the mounts out of wood.

Good luck with a part number. When I called George and asked him to look up he could only come up with a part number that included the speaker and mounts.
I swiped the plastic mounts (rear speakers) out of the wagon for now, but if someone can make something that works I'll be happy to pitch in for the effort.
For the fronts you just need the clips. I went to City Mill and bought something that worked with a little modifiation (License plate mounting clips).

Of course if your speakers are too deep then your SOL... Also having the speaker mounted on wood makes them sound better and there is less of a resonance in the door. Some sort of acoustic crap or sumthin...

what i did was trace the stock speakers on the wood and cut that out. so it fitted up correctly along with the bolt holes. so if anyone has the stock speakers sitting around you could do that instead of cutting twice.
