spark plug change
how do u change a spark plugs on a 06 sti?? sorrie first time changing a spark plug for my car?? and what is the best spark plugs??? help?????

you have that many miles on an 06 to change it already?

its not as hard as people make it sound, just pretty time consuming. Read all of the directions before hand, and look around the engine bay and make sure you know where everything is so you dont go "what the f--- is that?" in the middle of the process

the oem plugs should last for at least 100k miles. Unless its misfiring, I would not bother of replacing them yet ( but its a good practice just to remove, and reinstall them once a year to prevent them from seizing ). Anyway, just make sure that the engine is not too hot when removing the old ones, apply a thin coat of anti-seize compound on the thread of the new plugs, and never over tighten them.
Also apply a thin coat (use cotton swabs) of silicone grease inside the spark plug coils' boots to prevent them from sticking to the ceramic- please do this part always. Do not expect a big power gain- mainly a bit smoothness in idle may be noticeable.

dang didnt know u need to remove that much stuff just to get the spark plug out...hmm good stuff... was wondering too how to get them out after i was lookn at my friends wrx engine bay....i was like were the **** are the spark plugs at...lolz...ummm are there any haynes or chilton repair manuals for the subys? just wondering...o well i do my research...laters all
