First,

Don't get scared with the post about MB of Honolulu crashing someone's E55, they did the right thing and considering buying back the vehicle.

The guys there are cool. Fire away!

I'm sure he'll have a bundle of thoughts on the E55

congrats Kevin... how much for the E-Ticket ride (passenger... I'm afraid to drive one.. I might jump ship) ;P
W211 05-06 E55's are going pretty cheap at sub-40k. The gas problem helps those who want one.

If gas prices go down within the next few years, I'd probably pick up an E63.

Nice W211. There's alot of thread left on those tires lol. It's such a task just to not burn rubber like that and just like how hybrids try to get into the battery mode as much as possible, you gotta try hard as possible not to light up the ESP/traction control indicator.

Tires were new when I bought the car off the lot,...It has some rubber around the tire wells now,

Also, you can turn off the ESP or traction control, but I think it still interfers and kicks in if you do accelerate too fast. I got the speedbooster on the way though to get better throttle response...thanks for the heads up...

You'll love the speedbooster. Turning ESP off is a bit of a nightmare, half throttle and you'll be doing burnouts.

Nice car man, love MB AMG!

And yes gas price make V8 - V12 go down like hell ya...

Last week, on my tiny litltle island, I saw an Audi R8, Dodge RAM SRT-10 ( viper engine I think ), Dodge Charger SRT, Dodge Viper ect...
With the US$ low, people goes crazy on big car, even with the gas here almost at $1.80/Liter.

Sold my Legacy today..
But it went to a good owner who is also a former WRX and Legacy GT owner...

Sad day, but it needed to go to someone that needs to drive the car....

I made the mistake of driving around a 2007 Cl65 AMG all day. So I'm selling my FD and my WRX and gonna get one of the W215 classes. I will probably still throw an i-club decal on it lol.
