Here it is.

For sale is BRAND NEW Aston Martin Vanquish V12 from the $234,000 Vanquish! I've relisted the motor as the original buyer failed to show up for the motor!

From Aston Martin this motor costs $79,360.00 and when you buy it from Asto Martin it does not include the flywheel and clutch, which this one does include! This motor is brand new and includes everything you see in the photo, including AC compressor, alternator, power steering pump, injection system, flywheel, clutch, exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. The Vanquish V12 is an improved version of the Aston Martin V12. Stock, out of the box, it makes 460bhp and, compared to the "regular" Aston Martin V12, has had 40 pounds trimmed from the engine internals, more than half of which involved rotating parts such as the crank, camshafts and flywheel. Tuned, this engine makes more than 550 hp!

Engine serial numbers: AM3/01208
RFXRIE-6015-DB

This motor would be perfect for use in an Aston or for use in Replica Cars, Cobra, Kit cars like Lamborghini, custom built sports cars, etc. It doesn't have the variable camshafts or intake systems that make using most of today's engines nearly impossible to install in custom built applications. Instead, you can simply attach a basic aftermarket fuel injection computer, e.g., Electromotive TEC III fuel management system that runs both fuel injection and ignition, and this system is cheap and excellent, and you're good to go.

The Aston Martin-Cosworth V12 is THE best sounding motor in the world. Sounds better than any stock Enzo, Maranello, or any Lambo. If you've never heard one you're truly missing a treat!

Dimensions:
Engine overall length, including pulleys, is about 33". The thermostat housing on top center protrudes by itself an additional 2.5".
Motor is approximately 22.5" tall at front.
Total height with the intake plenums is about 26".
Width, from widest point on heads, is about 22".

The Aston Martin V12 was Developed by Cosworth. Again, motors used by Aston Martin in their Vanquish are designed and developed by COSWORTH RACING. The motors are shipped from the manufacturing plant to Aston Martin and Aston Martin installs them in their Vanquish.

Outputs of around 550 bhp are possible and well within this amazing engine’s capabilities.

Engine - Further development of Aston Martin’s low emissions, all alloy, twin overhead camshaft, 48 valve 6.0 litre V12 engine with new design inlet manifolds, camshafts, valve gear, crankshaft and exhaust system has resulted in an increase in power to 460bhp and an increase in torque to 400 lb.ft. With the catalysts located immediately adjacent to the exhaust manifold they achieve optimum operating efficiency within 30 seconds to further reduce emissions. To ensure that heat from the engine and exhaust system is insulated from the body structure the entire exhaust system and the front bulkhead is clad in a heat resistant material first developed within the aerospace industry. A unique engine oil to water heat exchanger accelerates and assists operating efficiency together with an ionised gas misfire detection system which provides continuous monitoring of each of the engine’s 12 cylinders.

Who is Cosworth, the builder of this motor?

Cosworth has established itself as the most successful engine manufacturer in Formula One as well as achieving numerous successes in CART, Indycars and the World Rally Championship.

For anyone even slightly interested in motoring and motorsport, the name Cosworth cannot fail to conjure up images of performance and success.

Since it was formed in 1958 by Mike Costin and Keith Duckworth, Cosworth has become the most successful engine manufacturer in the history of Formula One, with a string of driver and manufacturer titles to its credit. In addition, it has also achieved enormous success in a variety of formulae, including IndyCars, Champ Cars, rallying, sportscars and motorcycling.

Cosworth began life in a small workshop in London in 1958. However, things quickly grew and a move to larger premises was soon required. The company moved to north London, where it began working on the development of the Ford 105E engine. Cosworth actually achieved its first victory when Jim Clark took a win in the Formula Junior category in his Lotus 18 at Goodwood in 1960.

By the mid 1960s, the company had moved to Northampton and much bigger things were around the corner. In 1966, Duckworth signed a contract with Ford to develop a new three-litre Formula One engine, and the legendary DFV was born. It got its first taste of victory in 1967, when Jim Clark again provided the maiden victory, on this occasion first time out at the Dutch Grand Prix. The DFV, in subsequent development guises, went on to dominate the sport for 15 years and clinched 155 race wins during that time.

A host of famous names benefited from Costin and Duckworth’s approach – Jackie Stewart, Emerson Fittipaldi, James Hunt and Nelson Piquet all took championships using the company’s engines during the 1970s.

And it was during this decade that Cosworth engines crossed the Atlantic to take the Indy/CART world by storm. There, the DFX version of the F1 powerplant began to take an incredible 151 race wins in a 14-year reign, culminating in ten driver’s championships and ten Indianapolis 500 victories.

As the 1980s became the 90s, Cosworth continued to provide winning power, with the Ford Sierra Cosworth RS500 taking the 1987 Touring Car world title and the Cosworth-powered Ford Mondeo winning the World titles for Paul Radisich in 1993 and 1994.

In Formula One, the DFV was replaced by the HB which won 11 races between 1989 and 1993, while Nigel Mansell’s 1993 CART championship and Jacques Villeneuve’s 1995 Indy 500 win were both provided by Cosworth power. In 1994, the Zetec V8 F1 engine was introduced and powered Michael Schumacher’s first world driver’s title. And in rallying, the Ford Escort Cosworth notched up numerous wins during the 1990s and the Duratec-R engine in the Focus WRC gave Ford more success.

Bringing the story up to date, in 2004, Cosworth provided the power to 30% of the Formula One grid, as well as to the entire Champ Car World Series and the Ford BP Rallyesport Focus World Rally cars.
