I personally like the interior quality better in the Subie than the Evo and Mitsubishis,..i had a 90 GSX once and liked it,..somehow the Evo VII I was in didnt stack up,..too plasticky,..

when i had the evo, the interior was really cheezy and insurance was higher. Also, I didn't quite trust mitsubishi cars for their quality. Now that I've started to mod my wrx, I love it!

i was actually at a mitsubishi dealer ready to sign the paperwork for a EVO, but i started to think hard about it, and the STi has so much more to offer. the interior is better, better reliability, and that boxer rumble! i choose the suby for the uniqueness of the boxer engine and the reliability factor.

Also,.I like the 2.5l displacement larger than the 2.0,..the boost and the EVO turbo twin scroll is wicked though,..Ti scrolls spools quicker,...but its too much of an animal for daily driver,..then ,..bwaaappppp!!! BOOST!!

Wish the legacy and Subies got better technology available in their design of the turbos,..

I can't afford the evo, and I like the boxer rumble.

I'm just a Subaru *****. I've loved Subaru from the XT to the SVX and of course, to the GC's. Plus, the price of the STi vs. the Evo...though not a huge difference, I feel like I'm getting a little more quality from the scoobs.

Then again, I'm getting old, and for the price of an STi, I'm thinking about getting the new G35 sedan in AWD(even though it's auto only) or the 6MT RWD(although it's gonna suck in the winter - i'm still stuck in NYC)

When I was growing up, my aunt and uncle had a Subaru wagon on their ranch. It was a 1970s something (I don't remember what model) and it was a bit fugly. I remember going to their place one time during a snow storm. There was a pickup stuck in a drift, so we stopped and pulled it out. Seeing a tiny yellow car yank a big old pickup out of a drift makes an impression on a 7 year old. As you can guess, since that time I've always wanted a Subaru.

Before I bought my WRX I did look at an Evo, but I just didn't like the style. They were too boxy for my taste. I also got the impression that you don't really drive an Evo, you just hang on. It's a great car, but there is too much tech between you and the road. The WRX just felt better to me. It also has a better interior, was cheaper, and sounds so much nicer...

+1 for subaru!! IMO and things Ive seen in comparison, is that the evo has the same interior as the lancer(N/A) and by the looks of it wasnt to my liking. Also subaru offered at safety cd ensuring top quality safety and none from Mitsu..Also the fact that Subaru only has AWD vehicle, as compared to mitsu having fwd and awd, shows that subaru focus and concetrates mainly on AWD!! Theirs more but dont want to type too much..With that said +100 for SUBARU!!!

I think you mean you wish the US spec Subaru's came with the same turbo designs as they do in Japan. VF36,37,38,and 42....all come standard on JDM spec suabru's and all are twin scroll.
