I'm hoping to get a helping hand to come down to see me this weekend, in exchange for tuning his car.
I'll post up if I make any progress.
Chris, how much time left?

A great Indy Nasioc dude named John as well as Kierna and Jorge came over and helped me out.
Got all of the pistons out and respec'd the rings. Top ring is .306 with is above spec, but I called Quirt Crawford and he said that he's ran higher-than-spec many a time. Scraper ring is within spec.
Got one head on. Went with STi torque specs even though the heads are EJ207.

Haha! You said, "butt-plugs."
Are you using your v7 sti heads, or did you bolt back on your stock wrx heads?
Bro, this 18months deployment is getting to me. I wish I was out there helping you wrench. Although, it looks like you're doing fine by yourself.

Chris,
What do you recommend to replace the sealant around those plugs and the endcaps near the end of the cams (in between the head wall and the bearing)?
I got a lot of cleaning up in those heads to do.
