Nah, just kidding!

I wouldn't mind the EVO X MR or an STi as a winter car. This is my friends car, he just picked it up a week ago, and I wanted to take some pics of it. Just thought it would share with my Hawaii buddies.

The interior of the MR is MUCH nicer compared to the the GSR. I'll upload those pics later. I haven't had a chance to take ride it, he's still breaking it in.

It is a piece of fine engineering indeed. Definitely on my list of to haves.

I'd hate to say it, but I'd rather have an MR than the new STI currently. I love the way the MR drives and feel that the STI is a bit more "subtle".

How's your current car going?

He took me for a ride in the MR, and even though he's still breaking it in (so no sprited driving), I do have to say its feels very precise in its handling. As for the pricing of the MR, I am sure that the pricing is very reflective of the fine engineering what went into the car. I definately want to see how the SST transmission performs, but that will come a bit later.

The IS is going good, I put in the coilovers about a month ago and I am waiting for my wheels to arrive. How's the Benz coming along?

personally I don't like either one. seen both in person and I am not at the least bit impressed.

they revamped the engine on the evo. the turbo is now located near the firewall and we in the subaru community know what that means. longer piping, that much more turbo lag.

personally I will be waiting for the return of the subaru coupe supposedly in 2010. i guess we will just have to see

The STi is a major disappointment

I agree with Jess...Evo X is garbage. It weighs almost 500 pounds more than the IX. The IX interior was absolutely awesome. Evo X interior is garbage. I'd take the new STi any day. Seems to be more bang for the buck. Evo IX was better all the way around.

wes, I know that you keep your things in immaculate condition and I would surely do this if I could afford it and have a place for it.

Garbage is a harsh word. Did you get a chance to wring it out yet?
If someone threw this out in the "trash", I'd pick it up. The new Evo MR may not be well-received, but it is better than most cars out there.
