I dont get it can anyone of you econ educated people explain to me how is it high on the west coast let alone hawaii having its own refineries that the prices are still stupid high. from my understanding that pipeline/refinery should have only affected eastern states and some central....i personally think the oil industry is taking advantage of others losses (hurricane katrina) to turn a profit.

Don't get upset. The put a federal mandate saying Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Georgia were prohibited from raising prices until the crisis is over. I don't see why they don't do it in every state to stop the gas companies from taking advantage of the situation.

socal sounds like it takes the cake so far...ive been paying 3.20 on average but on the way from san diego to los angeles i was forced to stop in irvine and i paid 3.51/gallon and i think it came to like 46/tank...

sunday we were looking at the gas prices along kam hwy in pearl city and chevron by longs was $3.09 so monday i went to put $20 in and after i paid and started pumping i noticed it was now $3.30!!!

cheapest shell today.....(tuesday 9/6) $3.09 premium.$37 for me to fill up.


dont know the street name but if you goin ewa bound u take waikele exit and make left at stop light,go all the way down and you'll see it across from a park.

like i said many post before we should count our blessings....i read in the paper today that 34 states have higher average gas prices than us. so we arent doing horribly. but it will still get worse.
