I wouldn't say it's impossible to not have clocked you, but yes you should always try and contest a citation by either going to court or with a written statement. Although I must relate that if he gunned you, some Judges will not give you a break with a written statement so I would personally go to court. Assuming that the PO was on the shoulder area, you can relate that
1)you were going at the same rate of speed as the surrounding vehicles and were the only one that was pulled over. PO's must try and attempt to deal with all violations equally.
2)you were traveling uphill, which would be difficult to accelerate to 60mph in that short a period of time.
3)did you ask to see the radar gun? Did he tell you the distance you were gunned at?
4)Hows your driving record? Usually if you have a good driving record, the Judge will give you the benefit of the doubt.
5)Hopefully the PO won't show up for court.
Thats all I can think of for now. I'll ask my co-workers today for other good "Statements" that you can make. Later!

he did show me the gun reading voluntarily, but he did not tell me the distance he clocked me at. Also he was sitting on the right side shoulder and I was in the left lane when he supposedly got gunned me doing 60 I do believe it is impossible to accelerate to 60 in such a short distance with one car in front of me. Also I have received one ticket here in the past but for some reason I dont think its on my driving record. I just paid the fine. besides i have an out of state drivers license. thanks for your help and please keep me posted.

Thanks for the advice today.
I was at sub-sonic's when you called and he thought what you did was cool. So if you have any problems with your car, he too would help you out.
