Should I do it? V4 Front Clip!

Here is the deal, I found a version 4 front clip. I want to do an engine swap with my RS, so here are pics, and everything is included except for the sterring wheel, body pannels, brakes, and lights:

The total would be around $5k for everything. It looks like it may be easier to stay with RHD since the entire engine is set-up for it. Just tell me what you think and here is the post for it on NASIOC: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...ght=front+clip

Thanks,
Nate

Nate...is your main goal a conversion to V. 4 or are you mainly going for the turbo engine?

If it's just that you want more power...why don't you buy one of those V. 8 STi crate motors from Gruppe-s? Just a thought...though $5k 'aint bad as long as everything is in good order

Yeah I don't want to spend the money on a brand new engine, then I would still need a tranny, so this works for me. I want the engine that was made for the car to some extent. I would go with a USDM STi engine, but the guy I was buy from sold it to someone else.

Looks good to me...though i still prefer left hand drive because I'm a rightie and like to shift with my dominant hand.

I would except there will be no headlights. Read the top post, and I'm getting no lights.

What tranny does it come with? Looks like ton's of work. I'd buy a crashed 2.5 STI and take what you need.

a wiring on a 2.5sti would be 20 times harder you have the drive by wire so you would need to wire in the pedal assem then the find out how to wire in the dccd and all the other fum stuff not to mention it wiuld be alot more tham 5k
