security question
Are Subarus easy to break into? Besides smashing the windows. And do we have a good stock alarm system? I don't really know much about the stock alarm system. I USED to have an integra which got broken into 4 times within a span of 3 years, so I swapped it for my wrx. So I was wondering if my car is pretty much safe in the streets of Hawaii, eventhough I know there are some crazy desperate people out there.

i use the immobilzer key on the 05 sti and a auto lock on my brake to secure my car. and one other thing that I wont mention in an open forum. oh and of course the anti theft map on my ap.
Realistically if a thief wants your car he is going to get it.

my car has been egged already, about 3 months ago. i was entering my car to go to work at 6 in the morning and found that i had 2 eggs splattered on the driverside of my car. i was late for work, but oh well, i had to get those eggs off my car.

As 4080 wrote...if someone really wants to get into your car they will.
The key is to make your car less appealing for them to steal it. The two things that seem to make them not want to try are alarms and locations. They tend to try for cars that are in situations where they will be less likely to get caught.
Most car thieves will only go after cars they know they can steal in less than like 1-2 minutes.
There are of course the asshats that just break your windows and try to grab whatever is on the dash so always keep your cool stuff hidden.
