SCCA?

Today SUCKED!!!!!!

Would you chip in $5 to help get a new timer for SCCA? So we don't have to waste so much time, with that old lop of crap.

Everytime I go to Solo II they have timing problems.

ABSOLUTELY!!!

How about we chip in $10 and get a back up system so that we don't have to worry about break downs?

Today sucked for me because my little "off-road excursion" 'll cost me at best a good buffing and detail, and at worst I'll still have scratches from bumper to bumper....

Good idea. However, we already have the RaceAmerica System. And yes, we do have spare parts, although obviously not the right ones...

I'll be looking at the system to figure out what broke. (Timing system/wireless system/interface to wireless). One thing to remember is that we also have the wireless portion that allows us to place the finish/start away from the trailer. This has previously caused problems although I don't think it was the problem today. Depending on what the problem is, we'll update the spares kit.

In any case, a new system is always an option. Let me know if you can find a 4 car timing system WITH remote (wireless) sensors.

BTW, whats wrong with tires and bricks?
If we do keep the current system then I agree we should get the stands you found.

Garrett,

Expensive, but supports the requirements mentioned (wireless, 4 cars, etc..) It's hard to beat the price on the RaceAmerica system.

I agree with you Dan, .... I've lost interest in autoX b/c of the continuing problems that irritate me, just not worth $20 and a sunburn.

It's supposed to be grassroots motorsports, not ghetto motorsports.

Tim,
Yikes! That's pretty expensive. Also, the range might not be far enough - we are well past 1/4 mile from trailer to finish.

I agree these problems SUCK!
Open to suggestions....

Yes the problems with timing and such does suck But at least we have a safe place to race and actually learn about our cars behaviour at the limits.
