Sand Drags at KRP
A couple of us are planning on participating in the Labor Day weekend events (HulaX and Sand Drags). KRP is offering a practice session next Saturday which is free! It's fun to launch in the sand and get one power shift in. And, they do have a tree so we can get reaction times. Post up if you have any interest and we can see if we can loan you a set of Rally tires for extra traction. You don't have to be lifted to run in the sand.

FYI, our two STi's were running about 5.5-5.7 sec. The race next week will be bracket racing. There will be 3 brackets, bracket 1 everything less than 4.5 secs, bracket 2 4.5 to 5.5 secs, and bracket 3 everything greater than 5.5 secs. Given the format, you can run street tires and still compete. You basically have to be consistent in your runs, don't break out, and shoot for best reaction time.
They are giving slips with your reaction time, 60 ft., and speed at traps. It's fun and at least let's you launch. Trap speeds were between 44 and 55 MPH's.
