safety check time...

Does anyone know of any safety check stations that are kind of lenient? I figure that I could raise my car up a little bit to appear more stock looking to pass any kind of visual cues unelss they look a little bit deeper and see my coilovers. Contrary to the name, my wagon isn't really that low to begin with. Recon is pretty much out of the question since I tried to do the bounce test at home on the softest setting and all I got was maybe 1/2 inch of bounce. My other option being that I could revert back to stock, but my stock tires are pretty worn and it would look pretty retarded with stock suspension rolling on 18s. Any ideas? TIA

PMs are much appreciated

Unless you can find someone who will give you a safety check thats blind they will notice those coilovers in a heartbeat.

Wagons FTW!

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll have to give those stations a shot and see if they'll let me slide. I was thinking about just going back to stock or getting a softer setup soon anyway since I have a baby coming soon. But I have until June for that, so I thought I could enjoy my car the way it is for a little longer.

Anyone wanna buy a set of BC BR coilovers with I think about 3k on them (gotta check my notes)? hehe

no offense bro but asking on here is kinda hard. cop's do come on these boards and you could be getting the places/friends where we have hook-ups shut down. please keep this to pm's and don't post locations on here where everyone can see.

Hey Shagg's.....I bet those cops go to the same stations everyone is talking about.....lol But ya ...ofcourse the cops are going to slide when they show there badge to the service dude. If I was a cop I would do the same. And if I was the service dude I would do the same thing ...let him slide so when he sees me on the street I dont get a ticket...lol

yea good luck with prison. i don't think you guys realize not only do the stations lose their license but they are also subject to a $10k fine and or jail time. cop or not i would hope they are smart enough to not pass them. as for places yes there are some but like shagg said lets try to keep it to PM.

Hey Hawaii guys. I have a question. From what I gather you have to have your vehicles inspected like beyond smog on a yearly or by yearly basis? If that is the case I thought Cali ws bad, we cant have our windows tinted but we can lower/bag/do whatever to the suspension. That sucks.
