+1. That is what makes 29% darkest legal. I personally think that extra 6% makes a color difference.

The stations have to take pictures that go to the DMV for inspection. If the car doesn't look stock in the pics, the State can fine, and pull the inspectors license to do safety's.

So, it all comes down to your car looking stock. Rims, and exhaust are ok as long as the exhaust isnt too loud, and rims don't stick out.

In your case the car may look lowered. That's the only thing that would flag.

Oh, and some inspectors are cool and just look at your car and say it won't pass. But, once they officially start the inspection process and you fail your screwed! It flags in the system, and all the stations show that you failed. So, no more shopping around now days. Shi**y.... You have to then prove you fixed what ever you failed for.

 

I know it's been years since the last post here regarding 808 Safety Check Stickers....

Been off O'hau going 10+ years but now my "Old-School" Safety-Check stickers are starting to crack and want to place new ones over the old ones....

So I can "REPRESENT" while cruising around the mainland.

But I'm looking for the old two sticker version: Month sticker & the color-version Year w/ the green interchange sticker.

Anything? Any from 2009 thru 2014 or 2015 [If available].

I've got several of these "replica" HI-Safety check stickers from Japan but the colors don't correspond correctly with the year of expiration. A bit pricy after shipping back to the USA but holding off unless I can't get my hands on the real ones...

Now stationed in Tennessee, and having a new rear bumper installed after a distracted driver hit me at a light, I would love to get a 2013/may/ or other month safety check sticker from Hawai'i. There used to be some joke ones out there, but these days, those are only in japan and can't be shipped to the US.
I'd like one once more on my truck. Reminds me of home. Besides, real or joke, the locals here wouldn't know the difference even if it fell from the sky, sat on their face and wiggled.

 

Aye fellas, my safety check is about to expire and I was seeing if anyone knows where I can pass for having 20% tint?

I know, rip it off then throw it back on is easiest. But I’m not tryna do all that. If can help me out I’d really appreciate it.
