do yourself a favor and get legal tint.... from experience its not worth it. plus when you get in at night you will be like "holy sh#t i can actually see" lol. but seriously how can you see, when mine was at 19% i had to have the windows down at night, 5% seems ridiculous.... Most cops dont seem to care to much about engine/body mods, but if they cant see in your car its a threat to them so they get kinda stingy. just my 2cents. then again, half of them have their windows blacked and their trucks lifted and i dont see any recon...

people think the list is just a rumor, but it's real. it's nothing for 99% of the population to be worried about though. getting saftey checks isn't as easy as before because of the list. i know people that won't even pass their own family now days. the list has been around for ever or at least 13+ years.
on a side note, i've had lower than 5% before. i thought it was worth it. i'll be going back darker soon enough.
cops do have dark tint on their cars, and it is illegal for them to have it. i have pix of them, but i won't post them because a few people know me here. it's just as illegal for them to have it, as well as us.

wouldnt want to risk my license nor my workplace's license. good luck on your quest for a safety check.
if your mad about them having dark tint....all you need to do is make an anonymous call to the IA office....
although every action has a reaction...therefore you might see even more crackdowns on cars with small manini violations.

-You need legal tint
-if you go drop an alignment within 30 days 12 inches to license plate 22 to center of headlight
-legal lighting no hids or hyper whites unless its oem
-no stickers on any glass unless its approved
-nothing covering you rear view mirror
-stock bumper supports so front mounts are ussally a nono
-all your extras such as intake and sounds are bolted down propely
Let me know if I missed anything

nitrous and aftermarket hoods
if you tell them you have nitrous its usually not a big deal, they'll just check if your lines are secure, but if you hide it they'll find it near the wheels when they check for rubbing. Front mounts are usually okay, it's just whether or not it impeeds on how your front bumper sits. Recon is built up, it's really not a big deal. If i can make a recommendation, hawaiin tire by the ford dealership on Kam specializes in recon wheel alignments, they're good people there

There is no height requirement for license plate anymore. But fog lights must be above 12 inches, for now. There is already work in progress getting this law repealed as well. Don't expect this to happen anytime soon. We all know how fast the goverment works.

I see you have a STi. You might have a problem because the car is too stiff. You gotta be cool to pass on this. Can't explain how to do it since everyone acts different, but don't be a sucker, and don't be a dick.

Wow they dumped the plate thing. I would try for recon my self for my leggy but I have nothing reconable no drop yet and my rims are 1 inch above stock. And they don't do exhaust anymore. Hopefully when I need safety in Dec I get no hastles.
