for the RS guys
hey guys
just out of curiosity, what kind of 1/4 mile times have you manage to hit....just want to get a general number of what to expect from a N/A RS....from what i've heard before they usually run 15.4 with the normal bolt on stuff like intake exhaust etc....thanx

I've got a block that Mike gave me that I'd offer up, so long as you let me come help you build it up...well, you can have it even it you won't let me.

I did. I broke a one time deal of 14.9 at the expense of my clutch about two years ago. I believe Earl did one too. I was not able to back that time up after that and was only able to manage a couple of 15.2's before I sold my car. This is how I did it:
I lined up the car, hit the rev limiter, dropped the clutch, and floored it. I kept it floored while shifting, just popping the clutch the whole way down, never letting off the gas from the staging lights....you shoulda been there to smell the clutch on the return road! Ahhh, memories.....

i need my heads...i was thinking of building the motor over the course of this year...but decided to just to with a version 6 motor....
