Roof Racks.....
Does any one know where I can get these damn roof racks off my wagon. Just the fact that Im not gonna use it.....that's why I want it off. I've seen a silver 03 suby and a black 04 one without it. I've been told by Subaru that they dont do that kinda job.....and I dont want some other shop screwin up and my roof will leak. If any one can recommend a good place and it works out good, I'll buy u lunch and a couple of beers. Probably gonna get them removed ASAP.
Thanks

Still debating on whether to take mines off or not, but here's a VFAQ on the roof rack removal:
http://mikeegan.stormpages.com/RoofRails.html
I found the link on this site, and I know there's instructions on scoobymods.com.
You gotta buy the molding:
http://www.subaruparts.com/diag/?mod...category=915-1
and the plugs for the holes. I think the link on scoobymods.com says they went to Home Depot to get them.
Maybe Nino from Waipahu Subaru or Gregg from Kaneohe could help you out on purchasing the molding? Dunno...
Don't actually know of any place that will do them. I had actually asked Schuman in town for a quote. They gave me some stupid amount of $900.00 or so, AND they weren't going to even use the molding!! They were just going to putty it up and paint it. Would just be easier and cheaper to do it yourself.
Hope this helps...

My friend removed his racks. It's super easy, the hardest part is removing your headliner. The Schuman parts dept. can get you the new molding, and the plugs can be purchased at Home Depo. If you need help just shoot me a PM.
