I jus came back from the Rex Navarette comedy show at Pipeline Cafe' and it was ****en funny!..MAN...I laughed so fricken hard that I almost couldn't breath...For those who do not know of him...he is a pro. comedian and he is filipino...he was throwen all kinds of filipino stereotypes out...what was soo funny about everything...was most of the things he was talking about some how related to almost everyone...he went from how FOBs speek...or in his words...Filipinos On Bacation...lol... to....black dogs..to..the filipino food we eat...he talked about his childhood alot and how he learned to speak english...down right funny...also one thing that was funny was when they gave out a couple CDs to the B-Day people in the house...and this one white lady went up to the stage to go get a CD...then out of no where...Rick Rock, that radio DJ guy, who was giving the CDs away said,trying to be funny,said,"What the hell...!...We gots us a white person in the house!?!?...did you know this is a Filipino comedy show?...Oceans the club is more down thata way..."...I know that was bad, but it was soo funny at the time...overall it was a good night...main thing was I got to hang out with some Filipino friends from school...
By the way ...Rex drives a rex...a silver 02 or 03 WRX to be exact...

 

I really wanted to go to his show this past weekend. I saw his act last year at the Hawaiian Hut. Yes he is very funny. If you are Pinoy, you can relate, and as the ad says, if you even know one, you can relate. My wife (Japanese) laffed so much during the whole show. So Rex drives a REX, he now resides here, maybe we'll see him around. Can anyone from BAIC confirm his REX ownership?

 

I've been listening to this guy since 2000. Funny as hell. I think I've memorized EVERYTHING on his CDs. Word has it that he's lived in Kapolei for about 3 months now. Hmm....So do I...Mebbe I'll drag him to a "meat" if I find the dude.

 

met him at john dominis as he was promoting for the weekend shows.. cool cat, but didn't get to see his wrx... seen some of his material.. and he is funny !

 

I heard the commerical for his show on the radio a few weeks ago, and it was funny.

Josh, if its possible could I borrow one of those Rex cds? I need a good laugh.
