your ecu will compensate for the up/dp and will be fine without a tune. an AP would be more beneficial with the up/dp than the fmic would be. depends on how you drive really. if you like good fast acceleration don't get a fmic unless you plan to tune for it. in either case while you don't need a tune it is always a good idea to make sure you are getting the most out of your car and at the very least you should get a wideband if you are going to mod and not tune. i can say that with my fmic i had severe lag until i got it tuned. now it spools just as fast as with the tmic and feels perfect. GL with the mods and as always if you don't know, it's better to ask.

I would advise you to forget the Accessport and use Enginuity instead. It's free and allows you to tune the stock ECU. Saves you plenty of money you can use for other mods.

It's actually called RomRaider now. Here's a link. I'll be switching to this in the future and ditching my piggyback.

San this guy ask if he needed a tune after an install of XYZ parts. Do you really think he would know what he is doing if he were to start adjusting parameters with Rom Raider? Not to take anything away from him but thats beyond bolt ons and ots maps.

other than that hell yeah good way to save money

I wouldn't recommend messing with your ECU unless you have experience in tuning...

A new motor is even more expensive than a AP.

I'm not recommending that HE do the tuning, just that the UTEC and Accessport have seen better days in my opinion. I'm not a fan of ots maps. They are always a compromise.

I realize what the OP asked, but the thread took a few turns afterwards.

+2, true that

but in the end, just do whatever you like, its your car and you drive it, but if you mod, you should do it right the first time..we are just here to give advise..good luck man
