Do you guys think if I throw on the 17's (225/45/17) it'll raise me up enough to make it leagal?

update:
Failed Recon...
1 - steering alignment (SAI) not within specs after alignment
I called Lindsey's and they said that there was no way to adjust the SAI. Then I called Pac. Auto to see if this was bs cuz my bro in law got my car within specs (printer broken so couldn't get me papers). They said that Lindsey's prolly adjusted the camber plate instead of the camber bolt which threw off my SAI. So I just wasted $80 when I should've just spent the extra $20 for somewhere I knew I could trust. Now I'm shelling out another $104 + tax for the papers again
2 - failed the 2 inch bounce test (H-tech springs on 04 sti struts)
If I swap out the sti struts to my stock 05 wrx stuts, will I be able to bounce the car? As of now my front bounces a little and the rear just doesn't move.
Or is the spring the problem? If so, since I just installed them, should I say screw recon for a few months and ride around with them hoping that the spring will be able to bounce more and the shock dies a little too?

But I fear that they'll do another bounce test so i might just screw recon for now since it's such a PITA to switch back to wrx struts and it might not do a damn thing.

i have an aftermarket wingswest wing on my gc8 and they said it wasn't a factor for my recon. they said it was more of a problem getting safety check because you gotta be able to see out the window. as for the wheels, they asked me if i had aftermarket wheels on, and when i asked if it would be a prob. they said i wasn't supposed to have aftermarket wheels that were bigger than stock. even if it makes my car conform to the height regulations. the fog lights were supposed to be 12" off the ground because if not, they don't work the way they were intended to. at least that's what they told me.
