Question for all you 16G owners w/ 2L wrx's

How do you like the turbo and lag, and how much power you putting out after tune? Also a quick description of the type of 16G and injectors, etc.
Shooting for 290-320ish WHP/WTQ, but that's not set in stone. Response is grossly more important.
thanks

I reach full boost at around 3k-3200, ill clarify that next time i drive my car, the turbo is great for daily driving, not as good as the td04 but it's still really good, its up there with the vf39's, vf34's, i got 264whp from my gst tune with all the stage 3 mods plus cai, it's a conservative tune and gives you enough power for your daily driving, if you want those numbers you're better off getting a td05 18g, td05 20g, hta68, hope this helps

If you are referring to the evo iii 16g, then that was exactly what i was looking at. The SBR evo iii 16g. Does anyone have this locally, or anyone one a subaru and not a mitsu?

Yup. That's the one. I was going to get that before I got my garrett. No one locally yet that I know of. Heard good things. Youll definitely want a tune. 740cc should be enough.

I have been looking at these guys for a while...and probably a while from now will still be looking because all fun money goes to other stuff.

I think with the rite size injector (750cc) and supporting mods this turbo is great for a bit more power over stock, if tuned correctly from what I have drivenn.

Get a Blouch 16G, they're kewl peeps and they can rebuild turbos.

I want one too, this is the biggest I can go on my engine.

If you are trying to get a good EVO3 16g, talk to Mike@Blouch. They sell genuine Mitsu Japan turbo instead of the Taiwan 16g that ppl sell on Ebay. I got one from him long time ago, just don't have time for it till now. They will also ensure the wastegate hole is open big enough that you won't have boost creep, not the SBR one. I heard bad story about their turbo. I talked to my tuner and he said with all my supporting mods, it will probably make 285ish, I was asking for 300, he said not with this turbo. Trust me, I got hella lot of supporting mods, but he still said that, so if you looking for 300 plus, then you might have to go w/ 20g, but it's gonna be laggy for our 2.0. EVO3 16G is the best all around turbo for 2.0. If you need to know what I have, pm me.

Hey Chris, I think Troy (Hiroaki) has an EvoIII 16G, but not sure who makes it. He got some impressive numbers the last time Jarad was down here. If I'm not mistaken, he was right near 300whp, but I think that was with race gas or Meth or something. Not too sure if this helps or not

I have the Deadbolt Super 16g, Deadbolts version of the evo iii, and I really like it. Full boost in 3rd @ 3k, and it pulls hard until redline compared to my vf39 I had previously. My next step is going to be a TD05 20g 7/8cm though, stronger up top where you want it.

I believe I put down 279whp/259wtq when it was dyno tuned.

Car Info: 2008 Legacy 3.0R 3L H-6 RIP :( Hello 09 FXT!
Good info all. Thanks!
As most of you know, this turbo will go into a car that is not daily driven, so my needs are exclusively for auto-x.
Krang, i know you mentioned coming out to try a race or 2. I'd be curious to see how your setup performs out here.

Aw shat. Wrong SN.
