If you're driving a WRX, I wouldn't go past 17 lbs.

ps. Take it easy on the caps.

You're

asking how much boost but there are too many unknown variables for an intelligent answer. In order to answer your question it would be advantageous to know your setup (what turbo, intake, intercooler, header, exhaust, uppipe, you get the idea). Our engines don't like detonation. Once you start detonating heavily, you're likely to break something. The above poster is generally right, anything above 16lbs of boost on a stock turbo is usuallly past the efficiency of the turbo and you start to blow hot air. Hot air makes less power, so you can boost 20 lbs on the stock turbo, but you're just decreasing your power and increasing the chance you'll jack up your motor. Seriously though, you need to do a search before you ask these "simple" questions.

Hey man depress the shift key when you type...no one is gonna read your posts more if you type with all caps (which get sized down anyways).
