Q's about Subie dealer.
Hi!
How is the dealer in relations to the Warranty of the car? Are they flexible or do they give you a bad look, or deny warranty for having any or some mods to the car?
Just wondering as Puerto Rico as Hawaii, isn't part of SOA and the dealer/distributor makes the call on the warranty.
Have there been cases of warranty covering engine damadge or transmisions?
TIA,
Leo

^^welcome! The stealerships here are monopolized now by pflueger. I have heard of cases in the past where some got tranny work and engine work covered by warranty. but recently they have been denying people's claims with small mods. I cancelled my warranty in the first month, so i can't speak personally on the subject.

So basically, you guys are as screwed as we are!
I'll have to send some complaints( got the means) to Subaru in Japan. I bet they don't want a dealer/company tarnashing their name.
I'm soo close of giving up on Subaru due to the dealer and get an Evo 9 which enjoys warranty here and they treat the owners like they should!
Cano: Soy de San Juan. Me avisas cuando vengas! Si no aqui, en SCCPR.org o en carrito.net o NABISCO.

So where do you take your car for service? I bought my car back in April. Is there a way for me to cancel the extended warranty?
oh and the Dealership on Dillingham said that the Subaru in Hawaii (Pflueger) is not apart of Subaru of America. how sad.

About pflueger
Hi Subaru community. I work for the "dreaded Subaru in Waipahu." I can't argue against anything bad you have said about their customer service (in the service department). I also can't openly agree with you either, hehe. One thing I did want to clear up is the issue of "Subaru of America" not being related to Pflueger in Hawaii. This is true, but the culprit of all you headache is the Schuman Carriage distribution, not Pflueger. Schuman is the "Subaru of Hawaii" organization. Pflueger has to buy all thier cars from Schuman, they are our distributer so we can't buy them from japan. Pflueger doesn't make the calls on the warranty work, they call all warranty jobs into "subaru of Hawaii" (schuman carraige).
The point of this is that while Pflueger service people in waipahu might leave a bad taste in your mouth, they are not responsible for the heavy warranty constraints. Please rethink your definition of who is the thorn in your side and direct the Subaru officials in Japan the same way.
As a disclaimer: all things written or implied in this statement are not the opinions or policies of Pflueger Automotive group. They are only the ramblings of some mentally incoherent individual - me
