Thumbs up props to El Jeffe & Sub-Sonic

Much thanks to these two. I received a call this moring from downtown Schuman informing me that my warranty will be voided due to an after market turbo timer installed. My car was in service for my transmission and the service operator (Edda) explained that my car is finished but I have to pay a portion of the service because my warranty has been voided from the turbo timer. The service operator insisted that I disclose the company or location of the product's origin.

To make a frustrating story short, I contacted Sub-Sonic and El Jeffe. They clarified the purpose of the turbo timer (has nothing to do with the transmission) and explained that I purchased the vehicle with the item installed.

Be cautious of Downtown Schuman!!!! They may have attempted to pull a scam me.

Thanks again El Jeffe and Sub-Sonic for watching out for me.

Did they end up voiding your extended warranty??

... and yes guys, NOW MORE THAN EVER (I got a call about it), do not go downtown unless your car is completely stock. Sh*t, they might void a warranty for a transmission problem b/c you have aftermarket wheels.

.... so does 5-Star have service department yet??

Just be happy that they don't void your guys warranty on all the drag racing that you do. That would be reason for trans warranty void.

Next the Schuman guys will be hanging out at the track writing down license plates. But I agree, everyone is lucky. And Im sure no one tells their lovely money-grubbing insurance about racing at the track. Couldnt image what that would add to the premiums. The STi alone is gonna kill me with insurance.
