It ain't all about going in a straight line. With $13K, buy yourself a '87-93 5.0L LX notchback (lightest, strongest body), replace the suspension with a full Griggs Racing ( www.griggsracing.com ) or Maximum Motorsports ( www.maximummotorsports.com ) setup, slap on some Baer brakes, and you'll be good to go. You'll still have some money left over for your Flowmasters, rear end gears, and a couple other power mods.

An intake and Flowmasters isn't even the tip of the iceberg, that's just a little ice cube off the iceberg.

my pride and joy was a 92 notchback which i payed 2 thousand dollars for.
the 5.0 in my opinion will be the best engine evar. . . in terms of simplicity of modifications- almost any mods you put in has a positive hp gain. unlike imports with all the engine management issues. . . for 13 thousand dollars you will have no problem finding a cheap mustang- the question is- do you want a cheap one that you have to modify or do you want one that is already fixed up? the most i would pay for a 90-93 is 8k(and thats modified) mustang exaust notes are like no other-just like subarus my advice is to go mustang- plus the "theft desire" rate for these cars will not be as high as an import.(ya ya i know i sell subies but you're on a budget) plus i think a mu-tang is your best buy considering...

BTW... heres a plug.. my friend has a 1992 camaro with like 4000 miles. he wants to sell it for 12,500. hes pretty firm about it. if he doesn't get that 12,500 he'll probably just let it rot in his garage this car is awesome.(350ci,police special package)

1992 w/4000 miles?

I'd hit it for $11,000

yeah, it my buddy in HPD - he actually had two 1992 camaros- both the same package- he drove one for patrol and garaged the other. he sold the one with 100 plus thousand miles to get his current 02 SS.
if u know anyone that is willing to offer that 11k or anything close to his 12500 lemme know- i can check to see if he will go lower... but i doubt it.
