Holy crap!!! I wish I was there just to hang out and help out. Looks like a hell of a good time. Anyways, good luck sounds like you're nearing completion. I can't wait to hear how this car runs, especially after some break in and tuning.

HIIC kicks ***!

I stopped in for about an hour around 5:30pm to help (by staying out of the way) and got to watch as they put the motor in. After a bit of manipulation and brute force it mated up with the tranny. They were still bolting them together when I left, but it looks like they are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

After getting home from work, I called Pat up & got directions. On my way in, work calls again. &%*#

Anyways...Pat said it's in, & they're just tying up the loose ends. I think he said they were putting on the FMIC. I can't wait to see this beast in person.

I just got home from Mike's. I was just there to watch and stay out of the way. When I left they just finished the piping in for the FMIC.

Good luck on the test Mike!

well, the car is on it's way home, ... or should be home by now.
Pat had a little "issue" on the way home, .... let's just say be sure you keep your throttle cable away from your A/C belt!!!

anyway, it is ok for now. The turbo sounds reeeaaallll niiiiicccee spooling. It will be a very fun car to drive when all is said and done.

i can't believe it's 1:30 in the morning!!!!!

Did the coolant burping go okay? Whenever I build a new motor my eyes are glued to the coolant temp. gauge for the next week or so of daily driving.

Running on a cam sprocket with a few chipped teeth. No issues. I bet you a dollar that the one I ordered from SP.com comes in tomorrow. I'm not looking forward to that one. I think now I'll need to buy a throttle cable, too.

In about a year, I should be moving to Ft Gordon, GA. I look forward to meeting some SEIC dudes.

Coolant stayed ok, although a reservior line did get a little chewed up from my throttle cable incident. At least, that is to say that the thermostat never rose according to the gauge.

I will need a new MAF tube and air cleaner. This one just won't cut it.

I need to get the BOV flange welded tomorrow, hopefully.

I need to get to 1k miles quickly.

Some pics then off to bed.
