You guys are right! I have an A/F meter, but which o2 sensor do I upgrade? What about that inline resistor I had to add to get rid of the CEL? I think I should leave it in place...for the missing catalytic converter? The xede does not control AVCS at all, just the boost, timing, fuel, load and a few other stuff as soon as they release v.3, I think...most of the maps are left unchanged especially part throttle, where the xede maps allow the the ECU to do its own thing. As for my motor tuning setup, the ECU still remains intact where if it detected a knock of some sort - IT STILL BACKS OFF EVERYTHING LIKE NORMAL, actually it backs off more w/ the piggyback installed! I had an experience when I thought we had a good batch of race gas from 76 (100 crappy octane)...turned out it was junk! My car started knocking and the ECU backed everything off - My car ended up running high 13s in the 1/4 mile...on the same setup as I have now(13.8 @ 96mph)!!!, unbelievable aint it! Thought I blew it up then...So, I guess its still OK since I made 3 runs this past saturday, posting 12.60, 12.59, and a 12.60 w/ (half throttle 4th and 5th).

1) Don't upgrade any O2 sensors. They are compatible with the ECU and perform normal operating duties. You have to purchase an additional o2 sensor and a wideband monitor with hopefully logging ability.
2) You car does back everything off when it experiences knock. Actually, shiv says it himself that the factory ECU is a better knock monitor/det can than anything aftermarket.
That said, though, in order to pull back timing, the Xede or the factory ECU have to see knock first. Knock is bad. You shouldn't push your car until it knocks. Period. The tune should be good enough that the car doesn't knock. If you have a map made by someone else, you should be able to DEMAND that it doesn't knock. That's destroying your engine.
I get the feeling that it wouldn't be the end of the world for you if you did destroy your engine. That's not a crack on you at all. As a matter of fact, I wish I could say the same.

Yep!, that'll be no problem at all! Im getting the hang of tweaking this xede piggyback! it just adds or subtracts an offset to the stock base map! I've seen what they did to go from 91, to 93, to 97-100 octane maps! stage 0 and 1 also....

Thanks guys, Im a little undecided whether to continue tweaking this thing for a little more HP, Im looking towards some lightweight rims like SSRs, possibly upgrade to ceramic coated headers, a bigger intercooler etc....++++ = $4,000 ++ whew, gotta sign up for some O/T at work! Looks like Im stretching the capabilities of the stock clutch!!!
