This is probably the first time I've seen on dyno charts the difference between the VF34 and the VF39
it equates to about a 200-300 rpm difference in spool to achieving full boost, but the peak HP and TQ numbers are nearly the same (3-4 off from one another). Very nice both of you. Congrats on the beautiful numbers and I'm sure you will join me in thanking Jarrad for the awesome tunes on both of your cars.

On the previous tune (330whp/360wtq on Tessoro gas) I was running the APS 65mm CAI, Greddy MBC, and no water/meth injection. Im not sure why the torque went down so much on this last tune 328wtq vs. 360wtq. I think it has to due with the tuning. But on a positive note the car pulls much harder and faster now than it did after the first tune. I'm not sure why it feels so much better now because the peak numbers are very similar. I'll have to attribute it to the DTEC and Jarrads ability to tune it.

From: not in your rear view!!
Car Info: 04 sti now pulling hard but super greasy!!
i know gas may be gas either way you look at it but from what i understand from a friend who works at tesoro is that they are the only gas company that is completely dependent on middle eastern oil in hawaii which is trippy to me cause i see tesoro on american military bases shouldnt we depend on our own oil or at least the oil from indo and canada??? not the middle east?? thats probably a whole different thread............i usually run chevron or union 76 havent tried running shell in my car yet is there really a difference???

"Feedstocks: Crude oils sourced primarily from the Middle East, Australia and Southeast Asia",
although your friend may be more correct that Middle East crude may be the "largest source",... I do see the point of the question though... but then ... i'm a conspiracy enthusiast most days... not that surprised that military bases would be using middle east gas...
Last data I have reference to:
Chevron refinery supplies: Chevron, Shell, Texaco (merged with Chevron)
Tesoro refinery supplies: Tesoro, Aloha (who supplied Costco - uknown if still the case), 76 (previously supplied by Kauai Petroleum)

Very interesting point, but maybe a little skewed...

Canada has 10x the amount of oil under their frozen tundra than the entire middle east.
Also, yes gas does make a difference. Many members have posted problems with chevron and others. Ask shaggy, he was one of them. I exclusively use shell 92 octane in all my subies. It probably boils down to personal preference, but i love shell, and don't see switching anytime soon. I believe that most guys on this forum use it also, there were several polls posted on this subject in the past.
