was in tokyo last october for almost two weeks...........not enough time! loved it there. i went to the various GAS PANIC bars often, and i found club vanilla to be pretty fun but i heard rumors that it has since been closed down. roppongi is "where all the foreigners" go. and yes, african guys all over that area trying to get you to go to their clubs and use their escorts, etc. i hear kyoto has some awesome zen gardens. prepare to inhale a lot of cigarette smoke. i forgot that it was still legal to smoke indoors in places outside of california. and yes, shopping in ginza is a total ripoff. i loved akihabara though, so many electronics. they have a lot of really old toys too, look like collectible items. i also enjoyed walking around that massive electronic store building that is located right outside of the train station, but i forgot the name of that building/store. it has EVERYTHING in there.
