no no lol thats why i stated:

turbo'd cars are 3,750 in the book.... we reccomend every 3k or 3 months which ever come first

for non turbo cars it states every 7,500 miles or 7.5 months.... we recommend every 5 months or 5 thousand miles which ever come first due to our stop and go driving and extreme weather conditons (humidity & heat also stop and go driving)

Really?, when I bought my '13 WRX, the salesman told me that I should change my oil every 7,500 miles. Maybe you could point him in the right direction. I myself was planning on changing it 3-4k anyway, just because it is so easy to do. I can PM you his name if you want to let him know, I would rather not throw out names.

1k is abit early, but 7.5k seems way too late for most people (including myself), stick to the regular 3k interval!
Like I said depending on what you drive you may not need to until 7.5k. Not everyone drives a Wrx or Sti and some of the low displacement NA models are fine up to 7.5k. The Lexus CT200 hybrid for example is recommended every 10k. Just depends on what and how you drive.

ROFL are they serious. 3 3/4 months? Who the hell can remember that? 3,333 miles. Make it easy. 3,333, 6,666, and on the 10k. Easy to remember and gets it done right.

Subaru sent me a new owners manual shortly after I bought my wrx in 2011, they changed it from 3750 to 7500 for the first oil change in the booklet. Don't ask me why.

yes but your in the mainland..... in Hawaii we fall under **Examples Of Servere Driving Conditions** found on page 37 of your "new" warranty & Maintenance booklet.

Im looking at a 2013 one right now and yes they made the change your speaking of but it still states the same conditons of extreme driving conditions
