Place to get oil change?
Hello,
Im nearing the 1000 mile break in finish line. I am wondering where do you guys usually take the car in for oil change, be it the subaru dealership or a shop?
I'm in Ewa Beach, so preferably nearby, but I am willing to drive a distance for the oil change. Any suggestions will help
Thank you

Yeah some people don't have the time or the space to do it. It is the fn easy though. My 06 sti was lowered & I didn't even have to jack her up, filter & pan right up front. Dealer ship would be best since your cars reaching the first 1,000 miles. I personally don't trust places that have jiffy, express, or quick in the name too many bad experiences with my company vehicle let alone my baby.

Seriously. Fumoto and driveway. It's not even worth my time to take it somewhere.
Toss box under car, reach in flip valve, wait 2 minutes grab filter and spin it off, put on new filter, fill with fresh Rotella, and done. Takes less than the 10 minutes wasted just waiting in line at Stiffy Lube.

Well depends if your trying to keep to any warranty perks the dealership or warranty offered. Example would be if I get my dodge done at a shop and the warranty card filled out aka car fax reports, I get my 15,000(example) free along with a car spa. If I complete the card I get 6k(example) off another new or model vehicle.

1k is abit early, but 7.5k seems way too late for most people (including myself), stick to the regular 3k interval!

if its turbo'd first oil change is at 3,750 i would recommend every three months or 3k miles which ever comes first... hawaii is considered a "extreme weather state" due to humidity & stop and go driving.
all of the cars in subaru line up if its new is synthetic oil... the 1k change is not needed anymore

do they not use "break-in" type oils anymore?
if so, i'd change it at 1k for new synthetic.
personally, i like to change it after 1k miles in case there's any left over metal from the engine build process. then take it racing. hah
