PCV catchcan prolongs engine life, and increases FE
Now, I already have one of these, but plan to install one in all my cars after browsing another forum, many members have attested to getting over 300k miles on a motor, without needing a rebuild.

Also, many members are installing a WAI- which is a warm air intake. Yes, you read that right. It is believed to raise FE as well by 15%+, but decreases Horsepower. Warmer air is less dense than cooler air, but sometimes creates detonation, pre-ignition, or spark knock, which can take a toll on the life-span of cylinder heads and related components. It is interesting to see that many people are making their own intakes though.

WAI= short ram. As long as it sucks air from inside the engine compartment, it's a wai!
As for PCV catch can, this is a DIY catch can that (I believe) people are using whenever they do a dual catch can setup. As for emptyng times, did you notice that short drive cars need to be emptied 4x as often? (weekly vs monthly). If you dont drive your car for long drives, the water in the oil doesn't have time to burn off, leaving acidic water in your oil. It means that you should change your oil more oftem than someone with a longer commute.
Then again, most of us are pretty strickt about oil change schedules already, right? And a long commute doesn't mean 2 hours in traffic. a 20-30 minute "spirited" drive should do it, say a blast over h3 or pali
