give us a price range and we can steer you in the right direction. my opinion is for 1/4 mi. springs are ok until you can afford coilies. what spring rate do you want??

about a G this next month, htats slated for exhaust, but early next year sometime i will have about 5-6Gs to work with....im kinda focusing on a drag car, so im not sure that really heavy duty suspension is needed right now.

if you got 5-6 bills to work eith next year, buy a strut spring combe now, then build your drag car next year with the extra 5 grand. that's what i think....

ok the goals for my car are pretty simple (or so it would seem)

-low 13 sec drag car (for the HRP, not mainland)
-looks good
-improved suspension

i dont think that i need super crazy suspension mods for the dragstrip, seeing as i dont do auto x. that said, i think i want to reach that first goal first...finishing my exhaust off and getting the short ram K&N plus an UP. i THINK that should put me in the mid/low 13s. Jose? anyone? is that right? i dropped a 1/2 second with just DP and stage 2 on the AP alone...

i want to get the first done first, then do the looks/suspension at the same time. that will involve springs, better wheels/tires, body kit, hopefully going wingless again. anything else will be in the future. all this said, is the list that i generated worth my money? little things like headlites/taillites etc are going to have to wait..

Just get a TBE and springs for now, and you should set for drag... next year, with extra cash, you will be able to fully built your expected drag car!

OK here you go just for power alone:

Go here http://www.gruppe-s.com/Subaru/subex.htm scroll down and get the Helix UP and DP combo as well as any of the exhausts that cost $550 or less.

That'll take up that first $1,000 you mentioned and is probably the best "bang" for your buck!

Then when you get the rest of your $5,000 you go here http://www.gruppe-s.com/index.htm get that VF34 package...then go here http://cobbtuning.com/wrx/accessport.html buy the accessport and you're ready for stage 2.5.

After that, you should have some money to spend on beefing up your drivetrain to handle hard launches and stuffs.

Yay!

for power mods im set on the K&N short ram, already have DP, about to get the Nur-Spec, and then an UP (not sure which brand yet), already have AP at stage 2. dont know how that will set me up, but with the rest of the money i will get a modest body kit and wheels. suspension question has been handled thanks to drevis. that about covers it except for best body kit for less than 800 and best UP.

Get the Helix UP before any of those other mods...everyone else with an UP knows what I mean
