ever since i have been STi-less i have been beating my wifes wrx hoping to regain some of those sensations that i so dearly miss-
so many emotions have been through my mind since i handed the keys over... the transition is actually worth it since we are going to anaheim,CA in about 2 weeks to vacation and look at a few suby dealers... along other things
i am curious as to see who has been in my shoes, or has left the suby scene... or will somehow die with a suby in their garage...
answer truthfully...

My wife's family has had Subaru's for over 20 years and I had the fortune of picking my first one up after we got married. I was faithful to Honda/Acura but the ricers have turned me away from them. Subaru has found a place in my heart and I have every intention of keeping a Subaru in my garage no matter what amount of money I have or don't have.

Used to live in Japan, for 10 years I played with Silvia's, Cefiro's, Skylines, and 180SX'
When I left Japan and came back to the US, I tried to put the car scene behind me. But driving the polar opposite (Chevy Astro Van) only made me miss the "performance" cars more.
After 1year and 3mos of being with out something with a turbo under the bonnet, I gladly gave up the Astro Van and bought a WRX.
Of course I did this while the wife was visiting Japan

By far the funnest and best car I have ever owned. I currently have an 06WRX TR and will probably end up keeping it as a collectors item in the future. I will probably go with a Legacy or Forester once I start my family.

This car is my first Subaru. Now, i do enjoy the turbo engine and AWD handling. Not to mention the reliability. BUT i do miss the go-cartishness(new word) of my old Celica and the tossability. I knew i was giving that up when i bought a heavier car but i didnt realize that i would miss it this much. For me its a toss-up between which car i enjoy(ed) more.
Now if Subaru EVER releases a 3dr hatch-type Sti go-cart ill be all over that like a fat kid on a cup cake. OR a Coupe version of the Legacy in Sti trim.

I'm on my second scooby now. Every member of my family owns a suby... I've been t-boned by a 4-Runner in a suby and was able to walk away unscathed AND drive the car home (only to have it totalled out by the insurance...)
I will DIE with a scoob in my garage to be sure. Aside from the Evo family, what awd turbo car does as much for the $$?
