Ok, my "official" request for some Profec assistance...

No hurry and I could easily wait for a auto-x or install day or something, but I could really use some help from someone in the know with my Profec. The manual doesnt help and I still dont think the boost is showing up correctly. If stock boost is 14.7 or so and I recorded redline wot runs for a couple hours last nite in 1st through 4th gear to redline and never seeing over 10lbs boost. Just doesnt seem right. I sure dont want to put it in learning mode for 16lbs when it thinks its only getting 10lbs now, i might end up running like 20+ lbs.

So if anyone has time, energy, patience or whatnot lemme know. Wont make it to auto-x tomorow unfortunately since the kid is being baptized. Something always coming up so I can continue to be a puss about running the car.

Speedgear. I gotta say I wont be going back there ever. I go to drop the car off and say Hi to the mechanics and nothing, they just look at me and go back to work. Then I go upstairs and they are too busy watching TV to even say Hi or help me much. Not impressed at all. I also know all they do is the install, but Ive never purchased a part at a store, had it installed and then just been tossed the keys and told to go away. I mean they sell the part, doesnt that mean they could have sat down for 5 minutes and showed me something? anything? Who knows.

Kurrently is jus fer dekorashun...

Customer service is sorely lacking at many of the smaller outfits, My Friend.

At 10 psi, it should be considerably slower than stock. Then again, it would be harder for you to gauge since you've never made a baseline run at the track.

Give me a call. I'd be happy to take a look at it. Not promising anything though.

About the first comment. Yeah Yeah! Someday...

Im going to go check it out now and see if I can see anything. They used the same mounting location as we did that weekend and everything looked ok, but going to check it again. Will give you a ring.

Post doh

My friend and I just installed a profec on my WRX about a month or so ago. I got mine up and runing, but I am using the manual setting cause I like it better than the automatic setting. If you got any questions shoot me a pm. Hopefully I can give you a hand.

Ill give you a ring one of these days. Its usually when I happen to be somewhere that I can actually do that. I was on H1 several times and just was pretty much traffic-free so I take the opportunity to start logging and run through the gears. Hard to find room here to do it tho.
