oil filters

i was wonder where do all of you get your filters and at price along with the washer? i've been using my stock pile of OEM ones that i bought online but i'm about to run out. thanks

Yup oem filters! I had a fram on there once and the damn thing was leaking. and yes it was on tight

where?

have you guys been picking them up locally from the dealers or buy online? i'm guessing b/c of the shipping cost it is cheaper to just pick them up from the dealers.

Get a Fumoto Oil Drain Valve and forget about the crush washers fo'evah.

I order my oil filters from SubaruParts.com. They charge $4.95 for the OEM filter. Their site is a little weird to navigate, but most parts are priced right. I bought 8 filters and the shipping charge for Priority Mail from them (WA) to me (CA) was ~$8.50. I also bought the set of factory service manuals from them.

My OEM filter is leaking as we speak And yes it's on tight too. I never had a leak with Fram though.

Fram USED to be great - had a whole bunch of problems with their latest filters. My friends who work in aftermarket parts say to stay away and buy the OEM filters is $ is no object...

5 bucks at schuman parts dept...i think thats after 25% discount that they give, if i can remember correctly. its basically a purolator.
